The educational and research divisions of the Trust / Society i.e. Hope Foundation and Research Centre as a part of their philosophy organize various value-added courses and events every academic year for student aspirants with a very high competitive spirit and strong determination to include them in their achievements and accomplishments. As a participant in such events, the student gets a chance to meet with other like-minded students, professors, and professionals to discuss issues of importance and also learn field-related job skills that can help them be better prepared for their future careers. These events also provide a platform for the students to highlight their talent and skills leading to a valuable learning outcome. Hope Foundation’s I²IT organized a talk on the topic “Application of Information Technology in Life Sciences” by Dr. Yogesh Shouche, Principal Investigator-NCMR (National Center for Microbial Resource), National Center for Cell Science-Pune at I²IT campus. He also encouraged the students to think about applications and the use of technology in interdisciplinary domains.

Hope Foundation’s FAMT conducted a two days Workshop on “IoT Using Arduino” from 6th to 7th October 2018 for the students of Third Year & Final Year Mechanical Engineering. The workshop was organized in association with Skyfi Labs, Bangalore with the objective of delivering content beyond the syllabus in the interdisciplinary stream. Mr. Tej Kumar Saka, Skyfi Labs, Banglore was the resource person for this workshop.

Hope Foundation’s Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri organized three days of “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” from 9th to 11th February 2018. It was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology under the DST-NIMAT project. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India is an implementing agency under the aegis of the National S&T Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

Microsoft Virtual Academy Certification Workshop
Hope Foundation’s FAMT organized a Technical Workshop on Cyber Security & the Internet of Things in association with ATS Learning solutions which is a Microsoft Authorized Education Partner for Engineering students. Expert Trainer, Mr. Vinod Gupta highlighted the vulnerabilities present in several websites and made aware the attendees regarding how to secure the data from such attacks. The workshop explored the various means that an intruder has to gain access to computer resources. It investigated the weaknesses by discussing the theoretical background while actually performing the attack.

Texas Instruments Innovation Center
I²IT and Texas Instruments signed an MoU to establish the Texas Instruments Innovation Center on I²IT Campus. Texas Instruments aims to build a collaborative bridge between companies and colleges with the objective of ensuring that students in Engineering Colleges get good hands-on experience in technologies related to Embedded Systems, Ultra-Low Power Applications, Analog System Design, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Seminar on Six Sigma
Hope Foundation’s FAMT conducted a Seminar on ‘Six Sigma’ on 29th March 2017 for final year Mechanical Engineering students. With an objective to give an overview of Six Sigma and its benefits for students in career, the seminar was delivered by Dr. M. S. Kirkire (Head, Mechanical Engineering department) and coordinated by Prof. H. V. Chavan and Prof. M. L. Naik. Total of 99 students were present for the seminar. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof M. L. Naik.
