Cleanliness Drives

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaigns launched by the Government of India.

India is in dire need of a cleanliness drive like Swacch Bharat Abhiyan to eradicate dirtiness. It is important for the overall development of citizens in terms of health and well-being. As the majority of the population of India lives in rural areas, it is a big problem. Therefore, this Clean India mission can be of great help in enhancing the living conditions of the people. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims to eliminate open defecation, eradicate manual scavenging, introduce modern solid waste management and promote a positive attitude towards healthy sanitation practices.

Hope Foundation’s FAMT conducted events to share the technical knowledge toward social problems and needs to the students. As part of Swachata Abhiyan, students and teachers pledge for a clean India through Swachata Oath campaign at Institute and Swachata for Society (In association with Coast Guard India).

International Coastal Clean-up Day

The ocean sustains us with the basic elements of life. It produces half of the oxygen in the air we breathe and it is essential part of the water cycle. So cleaning beaches is a major concern now days. Finolex Academy of Management and Technology students participated in the event of cleaning the Bhatye Beach at Ratnagiri. The event was held by coast guard on the occasion of the International Coastal Cleanup Day. The event started at 7.30 a.m. and lasted at 11.00 a.m. Volunteers collected non-organic substances present on the beaches.

Selfie with Cleaners

“Selfie with Cleaners’‘, an amazing initiative by Hope Foundation’s I²IT in association with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to recognize the efforts of domestic help,  housekeeping staff, security staff, garbage collectors, environmental protection volunteers, and others. Being a   proud member of the CII-Yi   Pune   Chapter,  International   Institute of   Information Technology  (I²IT),  Pune organized a  group photo session on  23rd September  2015  to mark the day, and a lot of selfies were taken around the campus.

International Coastal Clean-up Day

Finolex Academy of Management and Technology students participated in the event of cleaning the beach. A Clean-up Drive was organized in collaboration with the Indian Coast Guard, Ratnagiri on the occasion of the International Coastal Clean-up Day.
