Community Outreach Programs

Beyond its regular scope of social goals, the Hope Foundation and Research Centre is faced with challenges wherein unexpected issues arise; issues that could influence a considerable number of the individuals within a society. These are often the consequence of factors extending beyond one’s control and affecting personal and social order. At times like these, the Hope Foundation and its educational and research institutions step up to offer their assistance in any way they can to alleviate the suffering. The Trust / Society coalesces and directs its resources and energy towards causes that could have strong social impact.

Rakshabandhan Celebration with Mahatma Phule Apaang Shaala

Hope Foundation’s I²IT students of the CII Yi Chapter celebrated Rakshabadhan with the students of the Mahatma Phule Apang Shaala in Maan Village. As they tied the amulet around the wrist of the differently-abled students at the Shaala, they shared their love and care with the residents. The I²IT Volunteers distributed sweets and on this special occasion, they kicked start the English Session for the students of the batch of 2018-19.

Caps of Honour

On Hope Foundation’s I²IT Cricket Cup Caps were donated to the real heroes at I Square IT – the support staff (housekeeping and gardeners). Equality, fraternity and support have been part of the ethos that is followed on campus. Every individual on campus, be it part of the team of faculty member, the administrative staff, the security team or the support staff takes pride in being part of this great institution and its goals. As I²ITians acknowledge the efforts of those who work silently and diligently behind the scene. Each member of the support staff works relentlessly to keep up the beauty and cleanliness of campus.

Donation to Indian Association of the Blind

On Hope Foundation’s I²IT campus, the students organized a fund raising campaign to recognize and acknowledge the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of blindness and the tool of independence, the white cane. The students collected around Rs. 7000/- donation for the Indian Association for the Blind – IAB, Madurai. This money will be further utilized for the welfare of visual impaired individuals of the Association.

Donation Drive for Avishkar

Hope Foundation’s FAMT organized Sahayog – Donation Drive for Avishkar, Ratnagiri from 4th to 6th October 2017. The drive was inaugurated on 4th October in the presence of Dr. Vinayak Bharadi, HoD IT, Prof. Santosh Jadhav, Prof. Deven Ketkar (ITSA In-charge) and faculty members. Dr. Vinayak Bharadi shared his thoughts on need of social contributions which can inculcate social responsibilities in every student and human being.

Session with Divyanshu Ganatra

Hope Foundation’s I²IT had conducted session with Divyanshu Ganatra, Founder of ABBF. He shared his experience of being is India’s first blind solo pilot para-glider to students and also spread the awareness of adventure that are accessible to the disabled.

Hope Foundation’s FAMT organized a social event that will help the orphans and disabled people by donating needful stuff. The event was organized on 17th and 18th March, 2016 at campus. Students and faculty members from the college gave their share of donation in this event. The donors donated grocery Items, snacks, toys, games and clothes for children.

Special Students, Special Training

Hope Foundation’s I²IT visited “Mahatma Phule Apang Prashikshan Kendra‟, a school for differently able people at Mann village on 24th October 2015. I²IT students met their students, faculties and tried to understand their problems and needs. Their biggest concern was English and Computer literacy among students. Young Indians have taken up this responsibility, and it was announced that from coming December, student team shall be starting a ‘Computer and English literacy course’ for their students named as “Special Students, Special Training‟.
