Go Green Initiatives

The “Go-Green” initiatives at the educational and research campuses of Hope Foundation at Ratnagiri and Pune embrace a way of life that helps preserve the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling. These initiatives offer the opportunities to take the lead in redefining its environmental culture and developing new paradigms by creating sustainable solutions to environmental, social and economic needs of the civilization. Some of the key objectives of these go-green initiatives are to reduce pollution, reduce resources consumption and eliminate wastes, conserve natural resources and forests and maintain the natural ecological balance on earth so that all living things can survive and thrive in their natural habitat.

Hope Foundation’s FAMT arranged a guest lecture on Global Warming and India by Dr. Surendra Thakur Desai, Coordinator, Mumbai University Sub centre, Ratnagiri on October 10, 2017. He briefed on environmental problems, rain measures and graphical status of rain and climate change.

Tree Plantation Event at Hope Foundation’s International Institute of Information Technology on May 24, 2017. The students actively participated in the programme. During the programme, faculty, NSS Volunteers, students planted the saplings of the trees at the campus. College faculty also explained about the importance of tree plantation.

Exhibition on Environment

FAMT’s Nature Club is to generate positive awareness about the nature in society. Considering this, Nature Club arranged ‘Exhibition on Environment’ based on variant assets of nature. It was inaugurated in gracious presence of Mrs. Aruna Katara, President Hope foundation; Chief Guest – Vikas Mahajan; Special Guest – Arun Tapadiya; Mr. Amit Katara and Dr. Samita Moolani. It was a privilege moment for Nature Club to be praised by such eminent dignitaries.

World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation’s principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.  A “Cleanliness  Drive”, “Signature  Campaign”  to  Save  the  Earth  & Plant  Sapling’s  were  part  of  the  World  Environment Day  celebrations  held  on campus.
